public art
Uniting Communities Through Culture, Creativity and Public Art
The Medicine Wheel public art is a piece that draws inspiration from the Indigenous Canadian culture and spirituality. Each quarter of the medicine wheel represents a cardinal direction, with an animal also appointed to each direction.
The sculpture is also surrounded by mountains, water, and clouds, therefore symbolizing the connection between nature and spirituality.

a sacred symbol
We are deeply moved by the symbolism and significance of the Medicine Wheel. A sacred symbol also used by many Indigenous tribes. This sculpture therefore serves as a visual representation of the interconnectedness of all things.
As a result it showcases the balance between the physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual aspects of life.
