Kiosk Fabrication Built for Real-World Use
A custom kiosk needs to do more than look good in a rendering. It may need to withstand constant public interaction, support products or equipment, provide concealed storage, integrate lighting or technology, fit within a specific footprint, comply with venue requirements, or be transported and installed repeatedly.
TBKD approaches kiosk fabrication with those practical requirements in mind from the beginning. Depending on the project, we can fabricate cabinetry and millwork, sculptural elements, dimensional branding, custom displays, countertops, shelving, wall systems, graphics, lighting features, specialty finishes, and other components as part of one cohesive build.

Types of Custom Kiosks We Build
Custom Retail Kiosks
Custom retail kiosks allow the structure itself to become part of the brand experience. We can develop custom shapes, architectural features, dimensional logos, sculptural elements, specialty finishes, product displays, cabinetry, lighting, graphics, and other details that transform a functional retail kiosk into a distinctive branded environment.
Kiosks can be designed for permanent installation, seasonal use, temporary campaigns, or repeated installation in multiple locations.
Branded Kiosks
A branded kiosk can communicate much more than a logo applied to a standard structure. TBKD can integrate dimensional branding directly into the architecture of the kiosk through custom forms, sculptural details, dimensional logos and lettering, graphics, colours, materials, textures, lighting, and specialty finishes.
For Tourism Kelowna, TBKD created a custom kiosk at Kelowna International Airport featuring hand-sculpted curved panels representing the four seasons of the Okanagan, combined with fluted oak detailing to create a distinctive physical expression of the destination.
Booth Kiosk Structures
Some projects fall somewhere between a traditional booth and a kiosk. TBKD fabricates custom booth kiosk structures for locations where a compact, self-contained branded space is required. These can incorporate counters, displays, shelving, storage, workstations, signage, dimensional branding, lighting, graphics, and other functional components.
Depending on the application, a booth kiosk can be developed as a permanent structure or engineered as a modular system for transportation, installation, teardown, storage, and reuse.
Pop-Up & Temporary Kiosks
Not every kiosk needs to be permanent. TBKD can fabricate temporary and pop-up kiosk structures for product launches, retail campaigns, events, seasonal programs, touring experiences, and short-term branded installations.
Temporary kiosks can be designed with modular components, lightweight materials, removable graphics, reusable structures, custom packaging, and efficient assembly systems to make transportation and repeated installation more practical.

From Kiosk Concept to Finished Installation
Creative Concept
We review sketches, renderings, CAD files, brand guidelines, mood boards, functional requirements, or early ideas to understand what the kiosk needs to accomplish.
Design Development
We translate the concept into a buildable structure, considering scale, materials, visitor interaction, displays, storage, equipment, branding, durability, transportation, and installation.
Fabrication
Our shop produces the structural components, cabinetry, sculptural elements, dimensional branding, displays, shelving, and other custom features required for the kiosk.
Finishing & Graphics
Paint, specialty coatings, wood finishes, graphics, dimensional details, lighting, and other surface treatments bring the structure to its finished appearance.
Delivery & Installation
Depending on the project, TBKD can coordinate packaging, custom crating, transportation, assembly, installation, and final setup.

Can a Kiosk Be Designed Around Our Brand?
Yes. A branded kiosk can be developed around your brand rather than adapting your identity to a pre-existing modular structure. Colours, materials, dimensional logos, sculptural elements, graphics, architectural forms, lighting, textures, and finishes can all be incorporated into the physical design. The Tourism Kelowna kiosk, for example, uses sculptural seasonal imagery and fluted oak detailing to make the structure itself part of the destination story.
Can the Front of a Kiosk Include Sculptural Panels Instead of Printed Graphics?
Yes. A custom kiosk does not have to rely on large-format printed graphics to communicate a brand, theme, or story. The exterior can become a three-dimensional part of the experience through custom sculptural panels, dimensional reliefs, textures, patterns, and other artistic elements. Sculptural panels can be developed around a brand story, destination, theme, landscape, product, or other creative concept and incorporated into the kiosk during fabrication.
Can a Kiosk Incorporate Screens, Lighting or Other Technology?
Yes. Screens, lighting, electrical components, illuminated branding, and other technology can be integrated where required. We coordinate the physical fabrication around the equipment so that mounting locations, access, ventilation, cable management, maintenance, and replacement can be considered during development.
Can a Kiosk Be Modular or Taken Apart for Transportation?
Yes. If a kiosk needs to travel, move between locations, or be stored between uses, it can be engineered as a modular structure. Component size, weight, connection points, assembly sequence, durability, and packaging can all be considered during fabrication. Depending on the project, we can also develop tool-free or simplified assembly systems.
