Oversized Consumer Product Replicas
We reproduce consumer products at an enlarged scale for advertising campaigns, retail promotions, product launches and branded environments. These product replicas can be freestanding, mounted on display bases, suspended or integrated into larger installations.
Projects have included an eight-foot Leikeim beer bottle, oversized STABILO markers, a BECK’s bottle opener and giant Carrera gaming joysticks. The goal is to preserve the product’s recognizable appearance while adapting its construction to the display environment.
Giant Foam Replicas & Sculpted Props
Foam replicas offer a versatile solution for creating large, detailed shapes without the weight associated with many traditional construction materials. Using sculpting, shaping, hard-coating and finishing techniques, we can reproduce complex curves, product contours, dimensional logos and distinctive surface features.

Industrial & Technical Product Replicas
Industrial products often contain distinctive mechanical details that must remain recognizable when enlarged. TBKD fabricates custom product replicas of tools, equipment and technical components for trade shows, product demonstrations and exhibition displays.
Examples include oversized Ivoclar dental instruments, a Macnaught dispensing device and a large EMUGE-FRANKEN industrial tool replica. We can incorporate accurately reproduced housings, handles, fittings, controls and other visual details to communicate the appearance and function of the original product.
Architectural Replicas & Promotional Models
Architectural replicas can transform recognizable buildings and landmarks into branded displays, interactive promotional pieces or exhibition features.
Our Edmonton International Airport office and control tower replica was fabricated using photographic references rather than supplied design files.
The structure included a slot for visitors to enter a promotional draw by depositing business cards, a removable upper section and concealed interior storage for merchandise. The finished piece was designed for use at trade shows, conferences and promotional events.
Interactive & Functional Product Replicas
A giant replica can do more than reproduce the appearance of a product. Depending on the project, we can integrate rotating platforms, lighting, removable sections, internal compartments and other functional features. For Carrera, TBKD fabricated five-foot-tall gaming joystick product replicas mounted on turntables, allowing the oversized products to revolve.
The product replicas were used in retail showrooms, shop windows and trade show environments. These additional features can turn a static product display into a more engaging promotional experience.

The materials and production methods are selected according to the object’s geometry, size, structural requirements and desired finish. We can work from physical product samples, drawings, digital models, reference photographs or a combination of available information.

Reference & Scale Development
We begin by reviewing the original product, available references, intended dimensions and installation requirements. This stage establishes the overall proportions, level of detail, mounting approach and any functional features.
Fabrication & Sculpting
The product replicas take shape through the appropriate combination of structural fabrication, sculpting, machining or casting. Large components may be divided into sections to simplify production, transportation and installation.
Surface Preparation & Finishing
Surfaces are prepared to achieve the desired appearance, from smooth consumer-product finishes to textured or metallic industrial details.
Paint, coatings, dimensional elements and graphics are applied to reproduce the original product’s visual identity.
Functional Integration
Where required, we incorporate moving components, lighting, removable panels, concealed compartments or display hardware.

Can You Make a Giant Replica From a Small Physical Product?
Yes. We can use an existing product as a reference for developing an enlarged replica. The fabrication process considers its proportions, distinctive features, materials and the level of detail required at the new scale.

Yes. Depending on the complexity of the object and the quality of the available references, we can develop product replicas from photographs, measurements and other visual information. Our Edmonton International Airport architectural replica was developed without supplied design files.
What Materials Are Used for Giant Product Replicas?
Materials depend on the size, shape, structural requirements, finish and intended use. Options can include sculpted foam, fabricated frameworks, cast components and protective surface coatings. We select the construction method to suit the project rather than relying on one material for all product replicas.
Can Foam Replicas Be Durable Enough for Repeated Events?

Can a Giant Replica Include Moving Parts or Lighting?

Yes. Hollow construction can reduce weight and create space for functional features. Our airport architectural replica included concealed merchandise storage and a removable section for access to the interior.
Can You Make a Giant Replica Lightweight Enough to Hang?
Depending on the dimensions, geometry and installation requirements, lightweight construction methods can be used for suspended product replicas. The final mounting approach must account for the completed object’s weight, support structure and venue requirements.
Can You Match the Colours and Details of an Existing Product?
Yes. We work from available product samples, photographs, graphics and colour references to reproduce the original object’s recognizable appearance. The achievable level of detail depends on the reference material, selected fabrication method and desired finish.
